A very national anarchist May Day

Corporate news reports that in San Francisco, a small bunch of BANANAs joined a small number of other racists (their comrades in the Minuteman network) at a May Day protest in support of Arizona’s new laws targeting migrant workers.

The BANANAs, among them Andrew Yeoman and a racist teenybopper named ‘Parker Wilson’, were allegedly attacked by a group as they left the racist rally.

Three people were attacked and at least two others were arrested. The people assaulted were part of the Minutemen demonstration, a group in favor of Arizona’s new immigration law.

They said a large group of immigrants’ rights supporters followed them to the BART station on Market Street and started punching and kicking them, and calling them names.

“They said we were racists, and we were against them, and against their town, and against San Francisco,” said Parker Wilson with the Bay Area National Anarchists. “What they were saying, they said we need to get out and called us racists, and that we need to go home. And then they just attacked my friends and me.”

Those arrested will likely be charged with felony assault and robbery.

Elsewhere, national anarchists avoided being bitch-slapped by staying at home.

  1. interestingly enough i believe all the australian national anarchist blogs have left the interwebs.

  2. Although there are maybe half-a-dozen or so mostly moribund blogs, I think perhaps only Scott Harrison has actually closed his.

  6. What’s the latest on Musgrove and Allen trial?

  7. The two matters were resolved in February 2011- there was no trial as such. In the end, Allen agreed to do 15 hours of community service- case dismissed. Musgrove agreed to plea no contest to a single violation of Penal Code section 415 (“disturbing the peace”). She was sentenced to 3 years of informal probation.
