Sadly, in the US, Andrew White (aka Andrew Yeoman)–a few months after having been denounced by Southgate as a violent, psychotic stooge–no longer distributes BANANAs online, and appears to have abandoned promoting white nationalism–for the time being, at least.

On a brighter note, Southgate’s German-born Australian follower Welf Herfurth has written a book titled A Life in the Political Wilderness published in August 2011 by Flavio Gonçalves‘ Finis Mundi. Herfurth was also MC at the Australia First party’s annual conference The Sydney Forum in September. Herfurth’s own former follower, Scott Harrison, is keeping busy alerting the world to the dangers of fluoridation and promoting the White Man’s Bible.

Dublin man arrested in brass knuckles attack

DUBLIN — Dublin police arrested a 20-year-old man Friday morning on suspicion of striking another man with brass knuckles after an argument at a grocery checkout line.

The incident began about 12:30 a.m. when the suspect, who police identified as Parker Wilson of Dublin, and another man got into argument at the Safeway on Dublin Boulevard, said Lt. Steve Brown. The argument led to a fight outside the store where the suspect stuck the victim with the brass knuckles.

Brown said the suspect left before police arrived, but with the help of a witness they identified Wilson, who was arrested at his home on Tamarack Drive on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Police also found brass knuckles at the home, Brown said.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was not seriously injured, Brown said.

Safeway Shoppers Fight Over Whose Turn it Was in Line

A Dublin man is being held at Santa Rita jail, police said, on assault charges after he hit another man with brass knuckles at Safeway on Dublin Boulevard early Friday.

The fight happened after two shoppers got into an argument about the availability of checkstands at Safeway about 12:30 a.m. Friday, said Dublin police Lt. Steve Brown.

Customers were waiting in a long line and when a checkstand opened up there was a dispute about who was next in line, he said.

The checker said the victim, whom police did not name, was next in line. The victim made his purchase and waited in the parking lot while his girlfriend talked on the phone.

When the man who had disagreed about whose turn it was came out, the two got into an argument in the parking lot, Brown said.

The suspect, Parker Wilson, 19, allegedly pulled out brass knuckles and hit the victim, police said.

A witness who was at Safeway during the fight identified Wilson. He was arrested Friday at his home on Tamarack Drive in Dublin.

He is being held at Santa Rita jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

Given the short time that elapsed between the first time the BANANAs called it quits and their resumption of pea-brained ‘activism’, it’s likely that activities will indeed be resumed at a later date, although given the bad smell that surrounds the group’s name, it may also be that it will come under a new label.

As is stands, the ‘national anarchist’ project in the English-speaking world has come more or less to a standstill, with supporters either (re-)lapsing into neo-Nazi activity or simply ceasing public political activity altogether. Introduction

Freedom from government tyranny has always been a central theme of right-wing politics in the United States. From the original Ku Klux Klan that denounced “northern military despotism” to the Tea Partiers who vilify Barack Obama as a combination of Hitler and Stalin, U.S. rightists have invoked the evil of big government to both attract popular support and justify their own oppressive policies. Witness the rise of so-called National-Anarchism (NA), an offshoot of British neonazism that has recently gained a small but fast-growing foothold in the United States. National-Anarchists advocate a decentralized system of “tribal” enclaves based on “the right of all races, ethnicities and cultural groups to organize and live separately.” National-Anarchists criticize statism of both the left and the right, including classical fascism, but they participate in neonazi networks such as Stormfront.org and promote anti-Jewish conspiracy theories worthy of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Anti-statism is a key part of National-Anarchism’s appeal and helps it to deflect the charge of fascism.[2]

Keith Preston, who calls himself a “fellow traveler” of National-Anarchism, is in some ways even more dangerous. Preston is a former left-wing anarchist who advocates a revolutionary alliance of leftist and rightist libertarians against U.S. imperialism and the state. Unlike many far rightists who claim to be “beyond left and right,” Preston actually incorporates many leftist ideas in his political philosophy and apparently is still in touch with some actual leftists. An intelligent, prolific writer, Preston has established himself over the past decade as a respected voice in libertarian, paleoconservative, and “Alternative Right” circles. His “anarcho-pluralism” represents a sophisticated reworking of far right politics that is flexible, inclusive, and appeals to widely held values such as “live and let live.” Unlike most rightist ideologies, it also has the potential to serve as a bridge between a wide variety of rightist currents such as white nationalists, Patriot/militia groups, Christian rightists, and National-Anarchists — and even some left-wing anarchists, liberal bioregionalists/environmentalists, and nationalist people of color groups.

In this article I will outline the major features of Preston’s political program, strategy, and underlying philosophy. Although Preston claims that implementing anarcho-pluralism would result in an expansion of freedom, in reality it would promote oppression and authoritarianism in smaller-scale units. Although Preston is an individualist who does not directly advocate the racial determinism and separatism of his friends the National-Anarchists, he has made it a priority to (in his own words) “collaborate with racialists and theocrats,” claiming that leftists who oppose such collaboration are the true bigots. Digging deeper, Preston’s opposition to the state is based on a radically anti-humanistic philosophy of elitism, ruthless struggle, and contempt for most people.

Preston offers a window into the larger issue of right-wing decentralism. This article will trace both the historical roots of the phenomenon and its various branches of recent decades, including libertarian, Christian rightist, neonazi, and Patriot movements in the United States. Preston blends these U.S.-based influences with ideas drawn from the European New Right, a decentralist offshoot of classical fascism, and from German Conservative Revolution figures of the 1920s and 1930s, who influenced but mostly stood outside of the Nazi movement. Preston’s own relationship with fascism is much closer than he acknowledges. While he lacks fascism’s drive to impose a single ideological vision on all spheres of society, he offers a closely related form of revolutionary right-wing populism. Above all, Preston and his rightist allies embody the main danger associated with fascism — to preempt the radical left as the main revolutionary opposition force…

In an unexpected development, the ‘National-Anarchist Movement’ – a/k/a Troy Southgate – has denounced ‘BANANA’ – a/k/a Andrew Yeoman (a/k/a Andrew White) – for crimes against national anarchism. The denouncement comes on the eve of another desperate publicity stunt by BANANA, and is likely to have sent virtual shockwaves through the literally dozens, if not scores, of keyboard commandos who make up the national anarchist milieu.

Writing on the N-AM site last week, Southgate has accused Yeoman/White of having been bought off by authorities, of being authoritarian, sexually promiscuous, “psychologically unstable” and – on a somewhat worrying note – of being “in possession of a large number of firearms”. Southgate has also denounced White’s latest publicity stunt, which involves the BANANAs jumping on the coat tails of fellow bizarros in ‘Stand Up America’. The group’s leader, Christian fundamentalist Pastor Terry Jones, plans to burn a copy of the Koran outside the Islamic Center of America, in Dearborn (a heavily Muslim city), and the BANANAs – or Yeoman/White at least – want to bask in the reflective glow.

ANDREW YEOMAN: UPDATE

It might interest some of you to know that Andrew Yeoman was recently investigated by the U.S. Secret Service for making a juvenile online threat against Obama. Judging by the negative and embarrassing publicity which has been emanating from the BANA camp over the last few months – as well as the fact that he turned up at the American Renaissance conference around the same time and then declined to testify against anti-fascists at his recent assault trial – he has clearly been bought off. Meanwhile, several of his former friends and associates have informed me that he expelled people from his group for not agreeing with his racial views and then boasted to a former landlord about various conquests with non-whites, whom he described as ‘concubines’. He also had a relationship with an anorexic Jewish girl he picked up from a website called Craigslist and went around telling everyone that they were having sex without a condom. Yeoman is also said to be psychologically unstable and is in possession of a large number of firearms.

STATEMENT BY THE NATIONAL-ANARCHIST MOVEMENT

The National-Anarchist Movement (N-AM) wishes to disassociate itself from the recent decision by the Bay Area National Anarchists (BANA) to stage a ‘Burn the Koran’ event on 22nd April 2011. Not only is this tactic extremely counter-productive, it also runs contrary to the free-thinking ethos of National-Anarchism itself. Indeed, we can hardly complain if our own spiritual, cultural and ethnic identity is attacked and denigrated if we are willing to do the same to others. Indeed, by seeking to antagonise Muslims through the destruction of the Qur’an, apparently because of the possibility that Islam will “be implemented all across the globe including our homelands through force of violence if necessary”, BANA is ignoring the fact that only a minority of Muslims – most notably the aggressive Wahhabi sect, which is denounced by millions of Sunni and Shi’a Muslims alike – actually believe in pursuing such a strategy. Furthermore, despite the fact that the N-AM does not welcome the presence of Muslim immigrants in Europe, we believe that the Islamic religion is far more diverse than the blood-drenched hypocrites in London and Washington would like us to believe and that a more sensible approach would be to build links with Muslim communities in order to establish common ground. Not with the more unreasonable elements, of course, but with those who also have an aversion to Zionism, International Finance and the New World Order.

Having evolved/degenerated over the last few years into the local Volksfront franchise / a lone wEIrdØ in Tasmania / a wacky racist ‘Reverend’ (amusingly nicknamed ‘The Rabbi’ by his ‘mates’), the dwindling fortunes of the ‘national anarchists’ in Australia have recently been revived by a young wingnut from Western Australia named Nicholas Cole…

Or at least, that’s what the staff at Whitelaw Towers (WLT) have been blabbing.

Precisely why Jim Perren and Peter Campbell (the two Internet warriors who patrol the Towers) have leaked this information is unknown, but it would seem to form part of an ongoing vendetta, one directed at any person associated with the Australia First Party’s rivals in the Australia Protectionist Party (APP).

And, apart from espousing ‘national anarchism’, Nicholas once supported the APP.

‘Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill’, as they say.

Here’s what WLT had to say about Nicholas back in March 2010:

He comes from a reasonably well off Middle Class family, y’know, ‘his daddy’s rich and his mama’s good lookin’ type of thing. He has a guaranteed job for life, if there can be such a thing today, working in the family business so he doesn’t have the spectre of living on the street hanging over him. He has a comfy safety net. He has the obligatory Southern Cross stars tattooed on his upper arm. He likes to drink and party hard. He fancies himself as a ‘Southern Cross Soldier’ despite his nerdy looks and scrawny physique.

In addition to the Southern Cross, the staff at WLT (or somebody acting on their behalf) have since made it known that Nicholas also has a tattoo of (what is assumed to be) the Cole family crest on his chest.

He has flirted with everything from Civic Nationalism, through National Anarchism to National Bolshevism and now he seems to be dipping a toe into the Christian Zionist pond with the Australian Protectionist Party.

Nicholas has also established an online association for right-wing students.

On the Australian New Nation Forum he was posting under the name ‘OZ’ and managed to eventually get himself banned for his persistent divisive and contrary attitude to all other members. His strategy (if he ever had one) of divide and conquer was apparent to some. He was a grenade lobber. Rolling incendiary comments into Forum threads and basically just thinking out loud. Much of his stuff reads like a stream of (un)consciousness.

Youthful exuberance is one thing but scatterbrained confusion is another. His virtually pubescent lack of impulse control is really quite inexcusable. He is not Fourteen any more, he is Twenty Two years old!

Nicholas turns 22 in March.

Okay, so he’s still relatively young and needs to learn a lot and should probably, on one level, be pitied, but he simply refuses to even exercise any self discipline let alone accept the counsel of older and wiser heads. Believe us, we know several who have tried and failed to talk some sense into him.

So we bet many of you reading this are thinking ‘So what? Who cares? He’s hanging with Dazza and the boys over at A.P.P. now, so why not let him cause chaos and confusion for THEM? After all, there’s no love lost between WLT and A.P.P.’

Well, the point is this. No good can ever come of having wild cards (jokers) like this circulating in the wider Nationalist scene. As he swiftly makes and sheds friends and acquaintances he will naturally sow confusion, doubt, despondency and poor morale which tends to spread rapidly in the Nationalist loop.

He has been caught out blatantly lying several times. He was at one time simultaneously in contact with the leaders of at least three Nationalist groups expressing totally different views to each of them. This only came to light when one became curious about this strange young man and started comparing notes with the others. Two other groups were approached following the cold shoulders from these and he failed yet again to insinuate himself into the trust of his new found ‘friends’.

But he is nothing if not, almost desperately, persistent. He is still currently active in his pursuits and is posting as ‘Libertarian’ on the Australian Protectionist Party’s ‘Australian Identity Forums’. Judging by his recent comments on a thread that floated the idea of starting an A.P.P. ‘youth wing’ (how original. Not.) he has not learned a thing. He has changed his tune once again and is now bagging National Socialists despite having been a former fan of Strasserism. He’ll be volunteering to fly to Tel Aviv and grow oranges on the A.P.P. Kibbutz at this rate.

Really, he is simply too much.

In keeping with Whitelaw Towers’ policy of only ‘outing’ Red Scum and White Traitors we have resisted publishing his file as we deem him, at this stage, to be more of a nuisance rather than a real threat but if any genuine White Nationalists out there are concerned that he might be a danger to them or their group then just drop us a line and we’ll talk about it.

Translating this final paragraph into plain English, it would seem that rather than publish their ‘file’ on their blog, the ‘staff’ at WLT have simply circulated it to interested parties. Sadly for its adherents, this would now seem to be standard practice in the White Nationalist movement in Australia, and if our sources are correct, Cole’s ‘file’ is only the first of many.

Of course, we may be wrong: as a general rule, the source of this kind of information is not disclosed, but as the information on Nicholas came to us second-hand, we feel no particular obligation to protect WLT, and must also take into account, first, their previous ‘outing’ of Nicholas and, second, their decision to remove that post from their blog. It may also be the case that Nicholas’ file was provided by WLT to others on condition it not be made more widely available. If so, then WLT has gambled – and lost.

Finally, as we have indicated above, we understand that other ‘files’ on other persons active in the White nationalist movement will soon be made available to sources hostile to it. The precise origins of this information, and the motivations of those providing access to it, remain obscure. Typically, disgruntled current or former supporters leak information for a variety of reasons, based on either personal resentment, political conflict, or both: we can only affirm that we have rarely encountered more snakes in the grass than among those who subscribe to White nationalism.

Felony Charges Reduced to Misdemeanors for Alleged Attackers of White Separatists

A Superior Court judge has reduced felony charges to misdemeanors for two protesters accused of beating two members of the white separatist group Bay Area National Anarchists after the May Day immigration reform rally.

Judge Cynthia Ming-Mei Lee dropped charges against Donnell Allen for assault with a deadly weapon for using a battery (as in an Energizer) and robbing a backpack from Bay Area National Anarchist leader Andrew White (aka Andrew Yeoman). Allen’s assault charge against White was reduced to a misdemeanor.

At the conclusion of the preliminary hearing on Thursday, Lee also reduced the four assault charges against 19-year-old Kelsey Musgrove to misdemeanors — two counts for allegedly assaulting White including macing him in the face, and two counts for alleged assault against BANA member Karissa Shaw. The judge also discharged the second-degree robbery charge against Musgrove for allegedly filching the backpack.

“So it was a good day for Kelsey and Donnell,” wrote Musgrove’s attorney, John Hamasaki, in an e-mail. “I think the judge’s ruling was appropriate after hearing the evidence as it came in. This was a fight, and misdemeanor conduct at worst.”

Hamasaki had attempted to grill White on the fact he lists “kicking ass” as one of his favorite activities on Facebook as well as posting he was attacked by “armed thugs” on white nationalist website Stormfront under the screen name Kyren. Hamasaki explained to the judge he was trying to show White was at the rally to “foment discord.” But Lee largely rebuffed his efforts: “People can believe a lot of things, but whether they act on it” is a different matter, she said. Musgrove was filmed in a video produced by the Golden Gate Minutemen of the May Day rally arguably “fomenting discord” as well, yelling “Come over here, motherfuckers!” at the counter-protesters while still at the rally.

White had no comment on the reduced charges. The two defendants will next be in court on June 17 for arraignment on the misdemeanor charges and to set a trial date.

Recently a man who hung out in Eugene around green anarchists started promoting the idea of National Anarchism. A few years ago he had written a well-known essay from a green anarchist perspective, and he was a familiar face to many. [2007 note: "Chris" wrote the article "Against Mass Society", which can be found on the cover of Green Anarchy #6 (Summer 2001) and is reprinted in Our Enemy Civilization: An Anthology Against Modernity.] His new belief system advocated that people of different ethnic backgrounds should live in different villages, and he later wrote a letter to Green Anarchy in an attempt to propagate his views about supposedly “natural” hierarchies. [GA note: We were going to print his letter, but it is almost as long as this article, and we did not want to provide a forum for his ideas on "natural hierarchies" and "National Anarchism". If people are interested in the letter, and who wrote it, you can contact us.] Fortunately his attempt to spread this racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic (so-called) “anarchism” were quickly unveiled. But what is National Anarchism? How did it arise, and what does it stand for, and why are these racist Right-wingers attempting to recruit anarchists?

Radical politics of all kinds took a new turn after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and this accelerated after the demonstrations against the WTO in Seattle in 1999. Decentralized and networked political forms started becoming the predominant types of resistance. In the last few years, we have seen anarchism replace marxism as the dominant radical movement in the U.S., but changes have also occurred elsewhere. Parts of the white power movement started advocating “leaderless resistance” as early as the 1980s; the Islamic jihadists Al Qaeda are a state-less, transnational entity; and even marxist groups like Left Turn have rejected the tight “vanguard party” model in favor of a more network-based structure.

But anarchism itself has also became a magnet for the racist radical right, and a tiny fringe group in the UK called the National Revolutionary Faction has re-christened itself as National Anarchists. They are attempting to use anarchist symbolism and rhetoric to recruit both “White Nationalists” (WN, a catch-all term for the various kinds of white racists) as well as anarchists – especially green anarchists – to their strange belief system. They advocate a decentralized economic and political system which features ethnically-pure villages which are defined by racial separatism, anti-semitism and homophobia.

Most National Anarchists (NA) tend to be long-time participants in the Nazi or other racist movements (ie Klan, Christian Identity) who are looking for a new “hook” to use to break-out of the ghettoized White Nationalist scene. Many are former skinheads who retain their interests in racist Oi!, metal and goth bands, European football (soccer), and sci-fi. They also tend to be interested in occult or pagan religions, although the proprietor of the sole NA-affiliated website in the U.S. is a Christian. Sometimes they are interested in the ecology movement or animal rights, although this seems mostly to be lip service to attract anarchists to their ideas. Their real interests are clearly racism against non-white people and a hatred of Jews.

Unfortunately, their bait has seemed to hook a few from the anarchist scene, mostly mystical anarchists, individualists, and green anarchists – including the aforementioned Eugene hanger-on. There has always been a small Left-Right crossover point, especially where the politics involve a mixture of anti-capitalism, mysticism, environmentalism and questions of technology. (Although skewed in its conclusions, Ecofascism: Lessons from the German Experience by Janet Biehl and Peter Staudenmaier offers a detailed historical account of this, and many of the racists have read this and taken it as a guide.)

In Germany, there is also a similar phenomena afoot. There is a wave of fascist groups that are attempting to cross-recruit by sporting Che t-shirts and Palestinian scarves, even marching in Black Blocs! Sometimes calling themselves Autonomous Nationalists, they – just like the National Anarchists – are attempting to pull people from anarchist and left movements into the white racist milieu.

NA guru Troy Southgate claims that NA is a “Third Way” between Capitalism and Communism, and has nothing to do with “fascism”. But he can only do this by falsifying history; for it is fascism that has always been called the Third Way. Southgate attempts to mobilize various philosophies in defense of his project, but he can only do it by distorting their messages. For example, in an essay on National Anarchist history, Southgate cites Gautama (the first Buddha) in support of his own work – but the Buddha was an opponent of the racist caste system. Southgate invokes Hakim Bey, a queer man who would be horrified at this usage of his ideas. Southgate also misattributes Fichte’s trinitarian concept to Hegel, whose dialectic is not triadic at all, but rather involves a more complicated process of double negations (the negation of the object and then the negation of the negation). Southgate’s attempts at constructing a NA lineage are bullshit to anyone who has read their references.

But besides the details, Southgate’s general claims are historical revisions and obfuscations which only serve to cover up NA’s function as an attempt to recruit people to the same sour old racist right under a new label. Nationalists have even been known to call themselves “anti-fascists” by attempting to redefine Socialists like the PDS (a German left-wing party) as “fascists”. Nonetheless, Southgate quite openly proclaims NA’s intellectual forefathers to be the “left-wing” of the original German Nazi party. Under the leadership of Otto Strasser, these “left-wing fascists” advocated a racist, anti-semitic, ecological, anti-capitalism before being thrown out of the party by Hitler in 1930, several years before his rise to power. A long discussion on the Stormfront site (a kind of bizarro-world Infoshop.org for racists) will confirm that racist “White Nationalists” themselves look to NA to recruit anarchists and others to their cause, much the same way that Marxist-Leninists utilize the strategy of front groups. Here is an excerpt from that page, in a post by Pan Zagloba:

How can National Anarchism recruit people to our cause?

It speaks to these kids [anarchists] in a language they understand, which draws them closer to our side, and makes them more open to our ideas.

It plays upon their distrust of Marxism, Zionism, and ZOG [the “Zionist-Occupied Government"].

It demonstrates to them something that they probably don’t realize now – that many WN values are often the same as theirs. These include concern for the environment, distrust of globalization and the NWO, and a desire to preserve the rights of indigenous peoples (in our case, Europeans).

Websites and other media that support National Anarchism expose them to quotes from prominent Anarchist thinkers which actually support WN, such as Bakunin’s and Bookchin’s writings on nationalism.

It can show them that the mainstream Left’s version of “diversity” doesn’t leave room for Whites. This can be very instrumental, as a large portion of the Anarchist movement is made up of disaffected White youth.

Once they become more interested in National Anarchism, they are more open to the influence of other nationalist and WN ideas, up to and including National Socialism.

How can we be sure this is the case?

Well, this is purely anecdotal, but: It worked on me, and I have the feeling that I’m not the only one here on Stormfront who may have been attracted to WN due to exposure to National Anarchist ideas.

NA itself has a complicated history. Its origins are in a ‘70s UK racist right-wing party called the National Front, who are probably best known to U.S. anarchists as the object of hatred in many ’77 punk songs. The group adopted a “Third Positionist” stance in the ‘80s, attempting to meld elements of communist and fascist political systems. They embraced racial separatism (as opposed to White Supremacy, which often advocates racial genocide) and started to work with black and Asian racial nationalist groups to promote their common ends of ethnic separatism. In the early ‘90s these politics were later copied by Florida Klan leader (and former SDS member) John Baumgardner, which led to the spectacle of joint Klan and Black nationalist demonstrations, held in conjunction with Chief Osiris Akkebala’s Pan-African Internationalist Movement (PAIN).

Originally a two-tone Ska skin, Southgate ‘crossed-over’ into the white power Oi! scene and became a teenage National Front organizer. He later navigated several splits in the party-turned-movement, first entering the International Third Position (who tried to recruit the far-right Roman Catholics of the Society of St. Pious X), and then the English Nationalist Movement (ENM). In 1998 the National Revolutionary Faction came out of the ENM, and then in turn morphed into the National Anarchist movement in 2003. NA is friendly with groups such as the National Bolsheviks in Russia, who mix their Stalinism with German fascism, and NA cites influences as diverse as occult philosopher Julius Evola, Libyan leader Colonel Qathafi and former UK Green Anarchist editor Richard Hunt. Hunt quit the magazine to form the eco-fascist Alternative Green group, which Southgate says NRF was “heavily influenced by” and which helped prompt their transition to so-called “anarchism”.

NAs also frequently cite anarchist founders Proudhon and Bakunin as influences, supposedly for their advocacy of an economically decentralized society. Actually, they are more interested in their anti-semitism, an unfortunate attribute that both thinkers shared but which all anarchists since have repudiated. If this wasn’t the case, why are NAs reluctant to mention other decentralists such as Alexander Berkman or Emma Goldman? The answer is because of their clear opposition to nationalism, and their progressive politics and Jewish backgrounds. Jews were always a vital part of the European anarchist movement, and no amount of NA historical revisionism can change this.

Southgate sometimes makes feeble attempts to avoid answering if NA is anti-semitic, lest its true nature as a White Nationalist front group be revealed and potential recruits be put off. However, in a Stormfront discussion, the man who posts as “Faith & Folk” calls for fellow-travelling National Bolsheviks to be “more folk centered and dare I say anti-Zionist and Judaic”. In a 2001 interview (www.rosenoire.org/interviews/southgate.php), after a rant about “International Zionism” and the banking industry, Southgate is asked point-blank if he is an anti-semite. He responds by reciting a bizarre story about Israeli Jews actually being not Jewish but being members of another ethnic group, while at no point repudiating anti-semitism. In the same interview he says that he is not a fascist “because the main tenets of this creed – bureaucracy, centralisation, the police state, the cult of personality, the mass movement etc. – are contrary to our objectives”. Naturally, the Nazi murder of 6 million Jews represents no problem to Southgate. Only organizational issues separate him from the Hitler cultists.

In the end, since there is so little that is anarchist in National Anarchism, they will probably have limited success in recruiting anarchists. Anarchists seek the abolition of all hierarchies on the basis of our common humanity – not a separatism based on ethnic, religious or sexual identity. In any event, most NAs seem obsessed with watching and deprecating the more orthodox racist factions, as if they were somehow not just as much a part of the white power circus. But if people appear in your scene sporting the National Anarchist symbol (a purple star with an NA in the middle), or attempt to promote the setting up of separate ethnic villages, know that these people are not talking about a new kind of anarchism, but just a very old and obscure style of fascism. If you encounter these people, don’t be fooled by the surface similarities; treat them as if they were Klan members or Nazis. The only difference is that this time, instead of pointy hats and braces, their racist ideas come dressed in a hoodie and patches.
